Heather Kirkby has over 25 years of experience in global leadership roles in technology and life science businesses. In November 2025 she joined Presidio Investors as an Operating Partner. Heather’s experience spans building and scaling high-growth, innovative companies from startup to IPO and beyond. She approaches business with a product-centric mindset to drive revenue growth, market position and harness the power of people and culture. She cares deeply about developing the next generation of leaders.
She most recently served as the Chief People Officer for Recursion Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:RXRX), a $2 billion public startup pioneering AI-enabled drug discovery. In parallel she served on the Board of Directors for Altitude Lab, a biotech and healthcare incubator and accelerator in Salt Lake City’s BioHive. Prior to Recursion, Heather held progressively senior Product roles at Intuit, culminating in leading the Global Talent Development organization. Heather started her career wearing steel toe boots in the Arctic, as a Field Engineer for Schlumberger.
Heather enjoys adventures, in business and beyond. She recently spent a year traveling around the world with her family. Notably no passports were lost and they returned with profound perspective shifts including an obsessive pursuit of living a simpler life. An avid recreational athlete, Heather has competed in cyclocross, triathlons, skimo and adventure racing and occasionally stands on podiums.
Heather’s achievements have been recognized with numerous accolades, including being named an Intuit CEO Leadership Award Winner and Mum-of-the-Century by her two children. She holds a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University and an MBA from Harvard University.
